Handling Information

I really enjoy this part of the Boxer game the most. There is nothing more satisfying in my estimation than to take a potential show dog at the beginning of its career and make it a definite show dog by grabbing that ‘Championship’. I have handled many young potentials with the CinnRhee prefix and have in the last ten years branched out to handle many wonderful dogs bred and owned by other Boxer enthusiasts.

When adding a new dog to our roster we always ask for the dog to be sent to us at least two weeks in advance of the planned show date so a rapport can be built and we can see to any additional training necessary. When we consider a dog for show purposes the following criteria is strictly followed:

    1. Evaluation for show purposes either through personal viewing or video tape.

    2. Pedigree and AKC or CKC registration - in the case of an American dog an ERN must be applied for from the CKC within thirty days of the first show entered in Canada.

    3. Feeding procedure.

    4. Show and boarding costs.

    5. Incidentals or sundries necessary for the well-being of the dog.

Our home and kennel are located about an hour from Metro Airport in Detroit, Michigan and about three hours from Toronto Airport and we often receive and ship dogs from these airports.
