Liza was one of seven puppies born at CinnRhee Kennels October 20th
1989.
She finished her Canadian Championship quickly and had many fine wins during
her career. She is a Boxer Club of Canada D.O.M. and is shown here winning Best
Puppy in Show in her youth the Essex County Kennel Club show and in her senior
years at age eight winning the veteran class at B.C.C.
Liza’s head shot to the left shows her at the age of 11 and ½ with
a full white mask and by the time she reached 13 even her body was almost completely
white. Every morning and evening, she would assist either Marg or me in cleaning
the outside runs. Liza was very content to stay home in her later years to sleep,
eat and go for long strolls on the property.
She suffered from degenerative myelopathy
and had great difficulty walking but she could still run like the wind. In August
of 2001, Liza suffered a debilitating stoke and Marg and I made the decision
to let her go.
Liza was one of the most interesting and pleasurable dogs we have had. She was
so keenly interested in everything that happened and at times we thought she
could see apparitions. We are certainly aware that she lives on in one of the
girls in our kennel today.
