Sophie has been shown in breed,
obedience, rally and agility. She has several titles from both UKC and AKC.
I have high hopes for her future in agility and obedience.
She earned her UKC Championship and
CD the same weekend in March of 2007. UKC has an award of Total Dog. This
is earned when a dog wins its conformation class and qualifies in a
performance event at the same trial. Sophie did this twice in one weekend.
She qualified and finished her UKC CD and at the same show she went Group I
in the Guardian Group.
In UKC agility she has both the
Agility I and Agility II titles and we are working on points for our Agility
Championship.
In AKC she has earned the Rally
Excellent title with placements at almost every trial. She finished her AKC
CD in March 2008 with placements from the Novice B class. AKC agility has
challenged us the most. Sophie has earned the Novice Jumpers title, but we
are looking for the last leg needed for the Novice Standard title.
Another part of Sophie’s life is Pet
Therapy. We go to a juvenile facility on a monthly basis. She also has
taken part in many agility, obedience and trick demonstrations at libraries
and parks. Her most outstanding trick is to run to a mailbox, open it and
bring me the “mail.”
In the fall of 2008 we hope to
begin our quest for the Open Obedience title, CDX, as well as to continue to
show in agility. Sophie loves to show and we hope to enjoy many successful
years together.
